WEEKLY MEDITATION CIRCLE WITH ANNA DAVIES

Join psychologist, mindfulness meditation and yoga teacher, Anna Davies in a weekly meditation circle at Ranges Integrative Health in Selby.

Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm – 8:30pm commencing Tuesday 16th July, 2024.

These circles are intended to offer weekly guided meditation sessions in a safe, warm and friendly environment. All levels of experience are welcome whether you are just starting out, or a regular meditator who would enjoys the benefits of the group meditation experience.

Anna has trained in and has over a decade of experience studying, practicing and teaching Mindfulness Meditation. These principles and practices will inform and inspire the sessions, along with other influences including somatic psychology, neuroscience, polyvagal theory, breathwork and yoga.

Mindfulness is the art of paying attention with non judgmental, open, friendly awareness. Research has found mindfulness meditation to have significant positive benefits to mental and emotional health and wellbeing. Thus, it is increasingly considered an essential part of staying healthy and well.

Some topics and practices we will explore in session include; body awareness, tuning into the breath, using the breath as a source of comfort and safety, grounding meditations, working with difficult thoughts and feelings, learning how to find space from thinking, self acceptance, self compassion, letting go, non striving, working with pain, loving kindness meditation, building focus and concentration and more.

Each week will work with a theme of Mindfulness, providing a brief introduction and theory to correspond with the meditation practice (20-30 mins in length). There will then be the opportunity for discussion, debriefing and questions and support to continue your own meditation and mindfulness practice at home.
