Dr. Shirley O’Dwyer takes a practical and empowering approach to getting on top of your health and wellbeing. She has over 14 years of experience practicing in the natural medicine industry.

Shirley offers a combination of Traditional Chinese medicine balanced with Naturopathic style medicine. She is qualified in:

  • Acupuncture
  • Electro-acupuncture
  • Massage, cupping and moxabustion
  • Chinese herbal medicine
  • Naturopathic herbal medicine
  • Fertility awareness (for improving fertility or for contraceptive purposes)
  • Providing dietary and lifestyle advice

Shirley is most passionate about all things women’s health, particularly women experiencing difficulties during transitional stages such as puberty, fertility, matrescence, peri-menopause and menopause.

Some of the common conditions acupuncture and herbal medicine can treat are:

  • Digestive complaints
  • Poor energy
  • Stress, anxiety, depression
  • Musculo-skeletal pain
  • Menstrual disorders, fertility, menopause
  • Skin conditions and allergies
  • Poor immunity and chronic coughs
  • Cancer support

Shirley is a very strong believer that real health care is about empowering her patients through personal health awareness, so they can make the best decisions for their own wellbeing.

Shirley encourages a preventative and natural approach to healthcare wherever possible but also welcomes the chance to work in collaboration with your doctor or other allied health practitioner for an all-rounded approach to your wellbeing.

With Shirley you will experience down to earth warmth and care when you book in for a treatment. She takes the time to listen to your story and creates a treatment plan specifically tailored to you, taking into account your budget, time restraints and any other factors that may be important to you.

Outside of practicing Shirley is kept on her toes by her two young children but always makes space for down-time; she loves yoga, dancing to let off steam, drinking tea on her deck over-looking the hills, cooking up feasts or going for nature walks with her furry four-legger.

If there is anything that you would like to ask Shirley, she welcomes you to contact her directly via email.
