Preseasonal Readiness For Seasonal Allergies (Hay Fever)

With spring just around the corner, now is the time to get ready to reduce your response to seasonal allergies or ‘hay fever’.

Homeopathy has a long history of treating seasonal allergies with nano-doses of environmental allergens to reduce sensitivities to environmental allergies, and to have a positive effect on hay-fever symptoms and is considered comparatively risk free.

David Reilley published in the Journal Lancet positive research of the homeopathic treatment of allergies,  as early as in 1985. The design of his research was a double blind cross over study using homeopathic doses of mixed grass medicine, manufactured by Nelson pharmacy in London, in the homeopathic potency 30c. These results showed that by day 15 those taking the allergen remedy demonstrated a positive result compared to those in the placebo group.(1) Prior to this study, research published in 1981 in The British Homeopathic Journal looking at dust mite allergies which showed participants had similar striking improvement within a few weeks of treatment.(2).

Over the years there have been many other research studies published in peer reviewed journals(3) that have demonstrated individuals increase immune tolerance to allergen type substances such as plants, pollens and animal dander using homeopathic medicine to desensitize them.

If you would like to try this method to reduce your response to seasonal allergies before the hay fever season begins, then make an appointment to see Anne MacFarlane, Ranges Integrative Health’s homeopath. Bring all your information related to your allergies and allow an hour and a half for the consultation.
